So of official power the
extent of it belongs
to Constitutional Code.

Official power or say authority. In each
case, whether or no and if yes, to what extent
power in this shape shall be admitted by the law
in the character of an efficient cause of justification,
in each vase by the supposition depend
upon the power, which it shall have been thought
fit to allot to those offices respectively. To that
part of the law by which those powers are allotted
to but the constitutional branch, will belong the several
questions, in what cases the situation in question
shall have operate the effect of operating as an efficient
cause of justification in respect of those acts by
which otherwise wrong in this shape would
otherwise be inflicted.
