§ Wrongful Usurpation of reputation is when with justificative cause, the the person say the wrongee having by the
display of merit meritorious, on a mere individual acts made proof
of merit in some determinate shape,⊞ ⊞ or where, though it be without anything
specially meritorious
conduct manifested act exercised by
him becomes an object
of fvor to the public
at large or though it be
to no more than a single
individual becomes an
object of favourable regard, another say the wronger the wronger
by deception or other criminal practice, causes it to
or endeavours to cause it to be believed that it was by him
the wronger and not by him the wrongee exclusively an act by
the wrongee wholly those same acts were exercised.
