§2. Morbification

Morbification is where by the act of one
person, disease, in any shape, is produced
or encreased otherwise in the bodily or mental
frame of another, otherwise than for the
prevention of of the need of mutilation, or the prevention or cure disablement or disfigurement
or some more afflictive disease.
The case in which the wrongful performance
of the sort of operation just denominated ais
most frequently exemplified is that of unskilful
medical practice, unskilful to
such a degree as to subject the partitioner
to responsibility, compensational or punitional
or both, as the case may be. Look out for
cases in which by persons at large, evil in
this shape has been produced by wantonness
or malice.
