Penal Code

Ch. III Reason & reputation
§3. menacement insulting
8
Menacement where
insulting

undesirous perfect an date.

I. Menacement is insulting in so far
as it has for its purpose object, the exposing to contempt,
a person, who is the object of it - the
most obvious mode is that in which, the
suffering threatened to be inflicted, is that
which I would be produced by an act of
corporal insult. But it is likewise producible,
by threats of injury in other shapes.
