1824 Decr. 20
Penal Procedure Code
<p>1. . 2. . 3. Sexus 4. Species

From the operation by which the individual is
enjoyment more or less is inseparable. But beyond the
minimum of enjoyment which is inseparable from the production
of that effect, enjoyment of the same kind is producible to an
indefinite extent – enjoyment by in excess in relative excess of which no contribution to
that effect is made. Every man who Of the instrument of
Of this make by the consumption of which existence is
continued the quantity consumed is determined – not by the
of the least quantity, sufficient for the continuance
of life, health and strength and continuance of life, but by
the luck and inclination of the moment: for taking measure
by the first of these standards but more profoundly
in medical art and science could suffice: for taking measure
by the other standard any man suffices every man person suffices.

In so far as this regards science is concerned In the case of this science, it to
no one with the word religion in his mouth, in a Protestant
country at least makes any objection takes this
superfluous of enjoyment for a ground of concern: by no
one is any more ascribed either to stint a quantity or
or a the preference given to that which is less to choice of that which is less
in preference to that which is more probable.
You like oysters: I do not: therefore you might to be
killed, and I might to do my utmost to have you killed.

In a Protestant country at any rate No such topic as this has as yet been heard.

No tyrant has yet stood forth and said
1. Abstain from meat and one whole day in every month
2. Abstain from chewing with the left side of your mouth
3. Abstain from eating . 4. Abstain from eating oysters.
Observe all these prohibitions, you may live: violate any
one of them you shall die.

In no one of these extravagances has does by
ever yet indulged itself.
