Law Amendment or Penal Code

So much much as to Judges and Advocates. As to
Individuals at large, in this early stage of society, it is
not in many instances that of themselves they would have
in a degree sufficient for guidance, knowledge of which had
been done by Judges in cases similar to those respectively
in question: a few broad and prominent cases excepted
for example in the civil branch, the notion that without special
reason to the contrary conveyances and agreements meant to
be binding would be fulfilled: that in the penal branch punishment
would attached to acts by which without special modification
severe bodily infliction produced.

But by degrees the profession of the Advocate, and
in the exercise of that profession the practice of the Opinionist
lawyers would come into existence – and in the from one
cause or another, how far so ever from being equally
satisfactory access to the Opinionist lawyer would be found
more easy than do to the Judge.
