Parl: Ref. Bill Preface
Preface
As on every other practical occasion, so on this,
the object in view and aimed at is either good or evil
the attainment of good, or the avoidance of evil.
But good and evil being opposites, are by the addition
of a word or two rendered interconvertible terms,
and as the absence of the one is frequently the same not easily
thing with distinguishable from the presence of the other, hence with by the help of
a little management, and with the one same expression
may be made to serve for both.
In this way Thus it is that for facility
of expression conception and conciseness of expression
the same objects of endeavour may b on this occasion
be reduced all of them brought under three heads,
to wit consisting the avoidance of these evils – 1. >Miselection
2. Non-Election and 3. Null Nullity of Election.
