C Offences against Property and Person

Incendiarism Murderous Incendiarism is where a fire with a malicious wanton or rapacious intent is kindled person is
instrumental in setting fire to any combustible matter [a house or building or vessel
where in which <add>or near to</add> any human creature is, or to any other mass of combustible
matter communicating with any such house or building or vessel] whereby
any human creature is maimed or irrecoverably disabled or disfigured or bereft deprived of life

The fire
Incendiaries shall be burnt alive.

Attempt to committ Incendiarism The Setting fire or Attempting with a malicious wanton or rapacious intent
to set fire to any building or habitation or vessel in which
any human creature is or to any other mass of combustible matter communicating with any such building or habitation shall be the punishment for
shall be as follows over and above the punishment
for any damage that may ensue to any one's person
or effects. He shall be scorched till the fat of his body
drop into the fire.

Inundation Murderous inundation is where with a malicious
wanton or rapacious intent a man is instrumental
in laying the country under water whereby any human
creature is maimed or irrecoverably disabled or disfigured
or deprived bereft of life.

For murderous inundation the punishment shall
be as follows. The criminal shall be put to death
by being drenched with water till he burst.

If with a malicious wanton or rapacious intent
a man is instrumental in laying the country
under water his punishment shall be as follows: over and above the punishment for any [damage] mischief that may ensue to any one's person or effects He
shall undergo suffer the water rack by being made to drink
a greater or less quantity of water according to the discretion
of the Judge. If the death or irrecoverable disablement
or disfigurement of any one 100 persons ensue he shall be put to
death by suffering the water rack till he burst.
