Robbery, what Robbery is where by threats or force threatening behaviour a man obtains
or keeps possession of any valuable thing, from in the
intention of his converting it to his own use [having no
title so to do and ] conscious of his having none no title, and
not intending to be amenable to Law.

Punishment for Robbery For Robbery the punishment shall be as follows. and an attempt to commit Robbery
1. The offender shall be punished be dealt with suffer in the
same manner as for theft to the same
but except that for every shilling taken he shall
undergo two days confinement to hard labour instead
of one. 2. He shall be as tied neck and heels and
thus exhibited at [once of oftener] at one or more times for not more less than
half an hour nor more than three hours in the whole.

Forcible and Malicious Mischief with force For Malicious Mischief when by accompanied
by threatening behaviour or effected by force personal violence <add>over can </add> the
punishment shall be the same as for Robbery as follows. 1. The offender being
being gagged shall be tied neck and heels, and while
in this condition a monkey shall be fastened about his
neck. In this condition he shall be exhibited at one
or more times for not more less than half an hour
nor more than three hours in the whole. In other
respects he shall be punished the punishment shall be the same as for Robbery.

An attempt to commit Robbery is any act
whereby an intention of committing that offence is manifested.

Punishment for Disguise For attempting using any kind of disguise in committing or attempting to commit Theft
Robbery or Forcible and Malicious Mischief the punishment shall be as follows. The face
of the offender shall be stained with the black wash:
in this condition he shall be during the time of
his being exhibited in public and during the time of his
confinement.
