12 C Bribery
[(L) Particular] That is by doing such and such individual
acts, or such and such a sort of acts, with reference
to such or such individual person or persons
or such or such individual thing or things or at
such or such an individual conjunction of time or
at such or such an individual spot. The trust itself
and lawful emoluments of the trust (if any and along with it the regular emoluments if any which belong
to it are given it is true with this condition expressly or
tacity annexed to them viz that it shall be exercised
in such or such a manner: that is in such a manner
as shall be consonant to the purposes of the
institution. But then the condition thus annexed
is not a particular but only a general one: for
the individual objects of every kind (viz the acts, the things
the person, the times, the places) about which it will
be conversant can not be all along foreseen.
