act whatever that serves to produce it, be
positive, is not itself any thing positive. It
is but the absence of those motions and sensations
that constitute life.

on this states account it may must be regarded as pernicious an evil.
An act On this account serving to produceng it may must be regarded as pernicious.

But the effect of Death is also the absence of all pains: and
on this account it must be regarded as a
good. On this account an act serving to produce
it should be regarded as beneficial.
