RESCUE PUNISHMENT.
Punishment for Rescue is imaginable by another should be at most the same
as that of the offence of the party rescued —
It may be the same on account of the natural aptitude
for notoriety & for making impression of a Punishment
having such so close a relation so close to the offence
The 6. G. 1. 23, §5 goes beyond this extreme mark & makes
it Death — it has the disadvantage of unnecessary atrocity
& wants fails of the advantage above specified.
