Review of Humphreys Conclusion
H.s merits. Ministers labour
how used

Mr Peel in his alledged meliorations improvements, have all along in every part of the field travelled over by him unextinguishedundesiccated
an undiminished futility the sacred perpetual source function of incurable uncertainty the
fictitious and ever concopiscible rule of action the Judge-made law By diminishing the labour. He has
thus rendered more or less of service to the predatory profession
without rendering an abuse of service in any shape to the rest there
of the comments on which on whom they prey: for to in non-lawyer when after his cause of labour
in as yet indicated is compleated will to render it more
easy as safe to Judge and not without trusting to<add>resort to</add> a lawyer than it is
at present: But whereas in Mr Humphreys plan as will be seen if looked
to in that view ] in whatever part of the field he sets his foot
clears away that measure as he goes

Here would be an occasion for Ministers by an beneficial
use to make some abasements for the constantly customary habitual abuse of
incumbentinfluence: by the introduction of an honest man into the seat
of legislation to make some compensation for the mischief
done by the servile rabble of corruptionists by whom they all
they as well as their predecessors in all laws here are habitually surrounded

Yes: Nothing is wanting to them but disposition even without
any sacrifice of that sinister interest which so long as the
phantom called the Constitution rogues must ever be the ruling
interest, to give to property and person such seen a degree
of security far beyond anyevery thing of which as yet any conception
has been generally entertained: the ends of justice might
throughout be substituted as an object of pursuit and abasement
be substituted to the ends of judication and still the pair family
and habit of employing the tool called in its habitual distend with of depredation
the tool instrument called Parliament be procured entire.
