1. The followingundermentioned changes or additions having
presented themselves to my view in the character of improvements,
and as such put by me to use. I will takelead the
liberty of offeringsubmitting them to his consideration; and for
shortness they are expressed in the form of rules or precepts
or Agenda and placed under the head of

Agenda [1. as a Matter ]

Some of them are mere nothing more than references to reason supposed amendments
the explanation and justification of which have
been already given: on the present occasion the use contemplatedlooked to
in the remention of them as the presenting them altogether
in view.

Others are in this place mentioned for the first timeand into once
for all, as not under the notice of their speaker for themselves needing the explanation standing in need of
any such comment. Those mentioned will stand distinguished
by the reference with which they terminate: the original ones
by an asteric*.

A second edition whose demand for a new of Mr Humphrey's wish will it is
hoped soon be made present itself and thus present an occasion
for putting to use any of their suggestion as may
happen to which it may have happened to be honoured
with his approval.
