§. Trusts

In the compass of five pages Mr H. has given
us a most instructive account of the state of the law in regard
to trusts. In it may be seen how compleat the disregard of the
interests and feelings of the parties intended benefitees has been
on the part of Chancellor the Master of Equity how blind the impudence
if on any occasion honest, and where not, how
grossly they have persevered in the of violating their trust
Service Of all the power a man is entrusted with for his own benefit
scarcely can then be reward in which it is not matter of
equal necessity that some one should be entrusted with it for the benefit.
Witness all home boys under a certain age. Yes to
the Common Law — that Law which is the perfecter of vice
little less than totally intense is the idea of re
trust: more altogether unknown the enforcement means of enforcing the execution
of it.

Intended benefitees — this expression has just been
I flatter myself it will not have presented itself as unintelligible.
In the of the Struck with the mispr and intractableness
of the Norman French his appellation extui que trust
Mr H. insisting himself guilty of using has ventured to
coin a new word trustee its to serve as a substitute to it
Having been a workman in that mine before Mr H was in
existence, and my practice in it having consequently been of some
what longer standing than his I will take the liberty of proposing
a new die in addition to the old one and the use in
which he has put his

Benefitee by itself would have had the advantage of being
a single word and in that respect matching with trustee in
trust. But unfortunately the in this case as in so many others
the result does not exactly quadrate with the situation real or pretended
and
and by the word trustee
had it stood above the
affirmation would have
been asserted.
