1824 Sept. 14
Constitutional Code

Ch. Ministers collectively
§.8. Statistics function

Books
Use of
III Digests

or 3
Art. or 3. Exceptions
1. Where and in so far as
the value of the subject
matter with reference
to the service may be
affected by age; and then
by the time they have
continued in the service:
in most cases it will might be
deteriorated; but, in some
it may be improved.

For, whatever may be the nature of the service, the value
of the several subject matters belonging to it can scarcely fail of
Art. or . In and for each Office, shall
there be but one check Book kept or if more than one what

being in a greater or less degree affected by their age: in some
instances it may be improved encreased by that circumstance as in the
case of certain fermented liquors the product of fermentation: but
in the great majority of instances it is universally understood diminished

or 3
Art. or 3. 1. as to
Person: up to a certain
age their value may will naturally be
encreased by experience:
beyond a certain age it
may be diminished by
weakness.

Things on the subject matter in regard to which in
an inventing the circumstance of age will be most apt to be
considered as worth bringing to mind and holding up to view.

But neither to persons is it by any means unapplicable.
In this case at the value of their service will in some instances cases
be encreased by it: encreased by experience up to a certain
age which however is liable to be different in every individual
decreased by failure of faculties coming at an indeterminate
point of time beyond the age.

or 4
Art. or 4: 2. as to
Things. Of most things
no value regularly decreases
by age: but of
some, before it decreases
it commonly encreases:
witness many fermented
liquors

In a word of those things circumstances, whatever they may be, on
which the condition of the subject matter at the point of time in
question depends, there is is there not so much as one which has not a does not
present a demand
claim, more or less urgent, to be brought to view.

or 4
Art. or 4. How
a memento, when the
effect of the age is important
enough to be
worth the trouble, establish
a column of header
"When introduced" with
or without another header
"When produced" to wit
when the time of production
is known, and the difference
between this said
time of introduction
into the service is considerable.

But at any rate the logical order is in the case of
this book the necessary principal: if and when the chronological has any
claim to notice, it is only in the character of an accessory, as
serving or contributing to indicate the value of the principal
subject matter to which the mention of which the instance of it is
attached
