1. Not to the people at large. For, of justice
they could not (so they saw,) have a worse chance
under this new and extraordinary, than under the
old and ordinary hands: and, in cases of comparatively
small moment, to which this species of judicature
originally was, and, under the existing system must,
without much exception, continue to be, confined —
a man would suffer less not from the loss of his cause
than, under suffer so much as, costs considered, he would in the regular course he would, costs considered,
from under the gain of it.

part, causes of acquiescence these —

1 As to extent of authority, — during in the whole course of each one's
life Only some minute portion of the the field of the legislation
and Judicature, could he apprehend the seeing ory would, on any, and in particular
on the first occasion be thus taken out of their his hands.

2. As to profit, Only in a comparatively small degree, if in
any, would that same portion have been looked to as productive
to them him, had it not been taken out of their his hands: the
evil of the expense necessary to the purchase of a
chance of their his services for the purpose in question,
being so assuredly and manifestly greater than the utmost good
desirable for derivable from such their his services, supposing it them rendered.
