the following

6. In relation to the existing system, antecedently to
the entering in detail upon the relations borne by the practice
of its several summarily-proceeding Judicatories to
that which is here proposed, it may be of use, that, of the following
all-comprehensive, and, in every point of view proportionably
important conclusions announcement be made shall be announced: namely,
have been made.

1. That, in the several cases, in which, under
the existing system, the mode of procedure
pursued has been, and is, the summary, the ends
actually aimed at in the institution of it — aimed
at by persons employed in the institution of it were
the, so-often-described and alluded to, ends of justice.

7. 2. That, by their so being, a contrast, alike striking,
and instructive, will be seen exhibited, between this
and the other condivident portion, portion, to wit the regular
portion, of the existing system.

8. 3. That, of the whole business at present
carried on in the regular mode of the existing
system, there is not a particle, that, supposing
an apt judiciary Establishment instituted, such
as that here prayed for, might not be carried
on in the summary mode even of that same system,
in a manner incomparably more conducive to
the ends of justice than that in which it is carried in
at present.

9. 4. That, in whatsoever degree defective and imperfect
the summary mode of the existing
system may be deemed for want of the additional
arrangements herein prayed for, proposed, it may yet
with indisputable propriety, be regarded as the
basis and groundwork, of that a perfection-approaching system, of perfection
for the establishment of which nothing is wanting
but the appropriate declaration of will on the
part of the constituted authorities.
