System of judicature established for the

2
At the outset of this paper of proposed Petition for Justice, it
has been shown/may have been seen how it is that an arrangement so essentially necessary
to the ends of justice namely the appearance of the parties or of a party or of
the parties in presence of each other at the outset of the suit could not but be
[+] [+] universally marked out
for exclusion by Judges of
the superior order every
where: and whence it accordingly

Thus it is — that a the establishment of a system of judicature, composed of a
procedure Code and a correspondent judicial establishment established by authority
and designed for the spare fulfilment of the ends of justice is an
operation spectacle as yet without precedent in history.

has had for its cause
the a regard for justice.

In such a state of things, any such thing as an institution
having this for the object of its endeavour — an institution
how narrow so ever the extent of the application made of it —
how narrow ever the portion of in the field of law the portion covered
by it is mor a phenomena much more, extraordinary and delightful than can a lover of mankind
had any right to expect could have had adequate ground
for the expectation of. The phenomena In the Danish institution
in question the phenomena holds itself up to view.

keeping it under the public eye was a service which these the opportunity

3
The more unexpected
the more cheering

The more unexpected any such spectacle as an institution
having really for its ends, sole ends in view the ends and nothing but the
ends
of justice, of course the more cheering to a lover of
justice and mankind to any person to any person who being a lover of
mankind can not but be a lover of justice. But to the author of this page how unexpected
it could not but be or may have been at the commencement
of the proposed Full Length Petition, when it is
shown how incompatible the pursuit of the ends of justice
were with the only real shape which in early times could be
given to the remuneration attached to it.
