Justice stamp tax
worse than justice fee
tax.

4 A tax upon justice in the shape of a stamp tax is
worse than a tax upon justice to the same amount in the
shape of a license by equal fees. Why? because to the produce
and correspondent received collected on from burthen imposed by the stamp tax no addition
can be made by any person, by whom by means of
such addition money could be put into his own pocket; whereas
to the amount of the benefit on the first with the burthen on
the other the addition that can be made and has been made is
that in which the persons wish as has lost in principal
subject matter and the substitution of the technical and so enormous
and effectively mischievous
