S.2. Elucidation
Justice of Peace
Of the therein proposed arrangements,
relative to the several topics which come under consideration
in relation to the aggregate list of the sorts of
functionaries needful for carrying on the business of
this department - to list that is to say, in the only two sorts of Judicatories,
the needfulness or usefulness of which is here
admitted, namely those of Immediate and those of Appellate
Jurisdiction,- a sketch in outline is thereby exhibited to
view. What, on the present occasion, remains to be done,
is to continue the above commenced parallel, by assisting
the reader in forming a conception of the leading points of similarity
and dissimilarity, between the arrangements, which,
under the existing system, have place in relation to this
particular class of Judges, and those above proposed, in relation
to Judges in general, considered without other distinctions
than the above.
