II. Local field of jurisdiction — its extent.
1. In the here-proposed system, all-comprehensive.

III. Logical field of jurisdiction — its extent.
1. In the here-proposed system, all-comprehensive.
2. Not so, in the Justice-of-Peace system: but constituted
by this truncated scrap, out of no more than one of a multitude
of fragments of jurisdiction altogether shameless and
undenominated: the result of a blind and perpetually
continued habit of splitting and splicing: splicing
more particularly.
3. In the Scotch Small Debt Court system, constituted
by one single truncated scrap of the portion
of the logical field corresponding to a demand of of money on the ground by contracts of the more ordinary kindsdebt.
4. In the English Small Debt Court system; constituted

at £5 in the rest.

IV. Intercommunity of jurisdiction.
1. In the here-proposed system, systematical and
complex, described and determined determinate, and marked out by a set of uniform
and all-comprehensive rules.

resting or no clearer nor more stable footing, than
that of Judge-made Law.
3. In the Scotch Small Debt Court system, delineated
here and there; but no otherwise than by unconnected
portions of outline.
4. In the English Small Debt Court system, intercommunity,
none. Between Oasis and Oasis,
intercourse none.
