A word or two as to the application of the matter
of the present publication to the legislative System of other
civilized nations.

Bonaparte's Code Of all actually established Codes
Bonapartes being that code which is most looked to in which is in the habit of being taken for as
not only a standard of comparison for all other Code the civilized world in general, it is the only
one in which at on the present occasion any express mention
need be made.

Bonapartes Code has not in any part of it, a rationale
as to for the explanation and justification of it attached to it
Here the here proposed has in every part.

For a No nation is there in any part of this
same world in which there be by students in the art and science
of legislation the works already published on this subject already by the author of
these pages are not more or less known and approved,
but more particularly in France in which the liberty of
manifesting opinions on subjects of this sort is little
less than entire.

[For students persons by whom/in whose mind that sentiment of approbation has place in legislation, the following may
indication of an exercise of proportionable correspondent instructiveness is proposed made
may be expressed by the following rule.] Taking Bonapartes
Code for the subject matter of consideration and the standard
of comparison apply to the several corresponding parts of it
the ratiocinative matter contained in the present publication.
By this rule indication is made intimation is given
of the use wh capable of being made of it by students
in legislatures in other all over that same world: by Students
at any rate: not to speak of practitioners.
