Supplement
(8 §. II. Elucidations
§ Reconciliation § Conclusion?

29 or
Appeal to subjects by
J.B. to fellow subjects
& citizens no longer to
suffer such oppression.

Fellow Citizens subjects! fellow citizens! how long will
you suffer yourselves thus to be delude continue to behold, in the
most maleficent of malefaction your chief guardians and protectors?
how long will yourself continue to suffer yourselves to be
deluded by words? How long will you forbare to stand up
and say under pretence of being protected and secured we have been plundered and oppressed too long, we
will not be thus plundered and oppressed any longer: instead of depredation
and oppression from above under the name of justice we will at length
have justice, instead of sham we will have real justice: instead
of inaccessible we will have accessible justice!

For too long has blindness kept us likewise by our acquiescence upon the list
of accomplices to all those crimes. But at length our eyes are
opened: and with eyes thus opened were we to continue silent
we should be not merely accomplice but willing one. We
therefore lift up our voice and say Unless a system to the
existing system of judicial procedure and judicial establishment be substituted
and that speedily, a system of judicial procedure and correspondent
judicial establishment having for their actual ends the ends of
justice, our obedience will cease. Rules! when our obedience
has ceased what and where will be your power?
