Ask a Westminster school boy which is heavier
a pound of feathers or a pound of lead, he will
find out immediately find out the question to be
a banter: but let him attend a few years in
Westminster hall and he will tell you gravely that
the weight of the pound of feathers is in comparison
of that of the pound of lead is as next to nothing.
Which is the heaviest, a pound of lead or a pound
of feathers or a pound of lead? At
Westminster school the answer would be, "neither:" at Westminster
Hall, it would be given without difficulty in favour of the lead. the pound of lead : [the heavy metal would be found greatly
to prevail.
