"The Stamp in the fourth article in the Expences of Administration
"was Five Pounds — that is the duty for any property between
"Two & Three Hundred Pounds. Seventy five Pounds was the
"duty for under £10,000, when I adminstered to my
"Father's Will." Extract from a Letter from Miss Fordyere to JB

of Lords, upon the late detention of Mr. COOKSEY
for nine or ten days, amounted to fifty-nine
pounds, sixteen shillings and four-pence.
