Natural profit
of an offence, what
By The The natural profit on an offence may be the ordinary, between when it is is that which
the offence upon an average of the instances in
which it is committed is most likely to produce.

This natural profit is either in its nature
1. a actually common to the several persons concerned
in the production of the obnoxious event: 2.
not naturally common but yet [naturally] communicable: 3dly neither
common nor communicable.

to the offence is of the pleasure of all will, or

It is communicable (whether it be actually
common or no) in the all offences against property of which lucre is the
natural motive: unless where the lucre consists in the acquisition
except that just mentioned being which do not suppose
or require the offfender to be in in order to their being committed, require
the intervention of a person in any particular station
