Cases of this sort are mostly those where the offence
is such as essentially imports the destruction of property,
circumstanced as such offences are in common.

The Cases which in the third place have the strongest
claim to compensation
A third Another set of Cases are those
in which loss or inconvenience of the party damnified
is not either pecuniary or quasi-pecuniary, and the author of
the damage received a profit or advantage which is not
pecuniary nor quasi-pecuniary neither: but either of the
vindictive or malevolent kind: These cases occupy the third rank among
those which afford a claim to compensation.
