Of Compensation.
£5. Putting these losses together, the whole Sum for
which compensation is due is £25.

Supplemental Compensation for Money.
When the thing a man is deprived of is a Sum
of money, let the supplemental compensation be not
less than the utmost legal interest of so much money
for the time of his losing it till the time of its being
returned; nor more than half as much again.

— for consumable Goods.
Where it is a thing which cannot be used without
being consumed, such as provisions and fewuel, let
the supplemental compensation be not less than the
utmost legal interest; nor more than half as much
again, upon the utmost value of the thing for the time
in question.
10.
— for goods used without Consumption.
Where it is a thing which may be used without
consuming, as an article of furniture or cloathing, let
the supplemental compensation be not less than the
utmost price that is commonly paid for the loan of a
thing of the kind in question, for the time in question in the
