22. C Of Compensation
en-damaged, let the author's proportion of the burthen be
as (A) his fortune ability is to the sum of their's. [(A) As etc] Exposition Thus if there be
two such parties, and his fortune ability be twice as great as
that of either of them, instead of bearing two thirds of
the damage sustained by each of them, let him bear but
half of that sustained by each.

3. Where the party damnified is the Public.
Where in like manner damage is done by an
individual and sustained by the Public at large, let
the whole of it rest upon the Public. (a)

4. Where the party damaged is a corporate body.
Where it is sustained by the Fund of any Corporation,
let it fall ultimately between the author and the
Corporation: and that either in the proportion of his fortune ability to
the particular fund of the corporation, or of his fortune ability
to the sum of the fortunes abilities of the members of the Corporation,
according to the discretion of the Judge.

Altho' it be by separate Acts acts
Where without blame, damage has been done by
separate acts at different times to different parties, in such case as to so
