Offences against the condition of Guardianship and Wardship
As to the offences which relate to the condition
of Guardian and Ward those the only ones which it seems
worth while necessary to treat upon a criminal footing
are the following:
1. Desertion of guardianship
2. Mismanagement of guardianship
3. Disturbance of guardianship
4. Child Ward- stealing.

To this catalogue must of course be added those
which operate by any of the species of falshood;
whether simple falshood, personation, forgery or perjury.

— of Mastership and Servantship.
As to the offences which relate to the
conditions of a constituted by the relations of
Mastership and servantship they must necessarily
be different according to the different modes
of servitude. But these modes are different in
different states and districts. They can not therefore
come under any particular consideration here, consider'd
in a general view they offences injurious to the Master will consist principally
in the part of strangers in Disturbance of Mastership;
on the part of the servant himself, in
Elopement. As to offences injurious to the servant
of these as such there seem to be none. Cruelty on the
part of the Master will if not tolerated by the
law will come under the head of simple personal
injuries or some other of the offences against person,
as the case may be.
