nor supposes that the intention or consciousness does or

words that enter into the composition of the same sentence

Example
Thus if my meaning is to put the case, for
instance, that you struck another person knowing him
to be a Judge: if I express myself in this manner viz: "You
"knowingly struck a Judge"; this does not express for
certain that you were aware of the circumstance of
the person's being a Judge; the only thing it expresses
for certain is that, whoever the person was, You were
aware that the motion you were going to make with
your hand was about to reach him.
