Entities are either Real or Fictitious.
Real are either Material or Mental.
Material are either substances or motions.
Mental are either Substances or Mo perceptions
or sensations.
Perceptions are either Impressions or Ideas. (see Hume)
Sensations are produced from some perceptions
Not from all.
Qu: is a Volition, a thing distinct from a
Sensation.
Volitions are no other way distinguishable from
one another but by the Events which are the objects
of them.
An operation is an assemblage of acts simultaneous cotemporary
{and or} succedaneous but if succedaneous uninterrupted.
An Occupation (in the sense in which it is of the
Class of real Entities) is an Assemblage of
operations although interrupted.
An Act is a Motion resulting from
Volition or it is a Motion of a being
endow'd with Volition, this to take in
Involuntary as well as Voluntary Acts
