2. That under by authoritythe auspices of the Board a Report
be made by competent persons of such of the Machines varieties
as appear the best adapted to their respective
distinctions

2. That where previous trials appear to be
necessary in order to furnish ground for such
Report in any instance, such trials be thor accordingly
made by appointment of the Board.

N.B. Whatever expence may be requisite for the
purpose of such trials would naturally be gladly defray'd
by the inventors of the Machines in question
as far as if their respective circumstances admitt. Where the inventors
are not known, or the expense would exceed their
circumstances, some other fund was would be to be
looked out for. If the funds of the Board which
I am concerned to find so narrow be inadequate to
the purpose, I should take a pleasure in contributing
to the extent of my ability to so useful a work.

3. That the list of Machines when made out
and approved of be made public and circulated all
over the Kingdom: and that a pa Machine of each
sort and variation approved of be made to serve
as a standard of reference.
