The reason is evident cause, effi be final efficient . In the Scotch causes, the Appeal
presented, stoppage of execution of the decree of the Court
appealed from takes place of course: according to the nature of the subject matter the profit of possession
whatsoever it be – rent of some estate, ordinary interest of money,
12, 15, 20 per cent per annum or more, remains in the wrongdoers possessors
hands.

Neither in the English nor in the Irish Appeals causes (as per
accounts) does any such stoppage take place.
