On the part of him by whom the influence is exercised As corruption so may delusion be designed or undesigned.
As of corruptive influence and corrupt obsequiousness so of delusive influence and deluded obsequiousness may
the effect be designed or undesigned produced by design
on the part of him by whose situation it is produced
or produced with and by design on his part.

On the part of him by in whose instance the sinister obsequiousness is produced it it can not the obsequiousness can not very well have for its accompaniment
a consciousness of the nature of the cause by which
it has been produced: an the affection of the affirmative
wears the appearance of presents itself as involving a contradiction in terms: as
if it should were and he is deceived and yet he is not
deceived.

As in the case of corruption so in the case of delusion
the distinction between personally seated person-seated and system-seated systematically
seated is not incapable of having place. But so efficient and extensive
not to say universal, is the influence of that which is
systematically seated that for that the operation of that any
which is systema personally seated scarcely is any
room any where left.
