Ancient Biography —
2d Indexes of Names of Places &c for a perfect Geography
3. Indexes of particular all Words at large to form perfect particular <add>National </add>
Grammar & Vocabularies Universal
3. Index Vocabularies perfect with references to the respective Authors
will serve make perfect Common-places & Harmonies —
This can only be done in the dead languages — in the living the task would be be infinite.
4 Vocabularies Such Commonplaces will relate to Politics, Divinity &
Sciences real or imaginary with which the Ancients were conversant,
supersede in good measure the use cultivation of what is called Litterature, i.e. the laying in before hand a
promiscuous & incoherent &, what is never perfect, stock at the least
---page break---
of it's ever being wanted, instead of taking in pro se nota what is wanted,
as much as ever is shall be wanted
Chymistry —
All that is done in Chymistry consists in 1st subjecting bodies to various degrees
of heat or cold — 2d bringing their parts into contiguity
differences distinctions between bodies to be referred to the respective Senses
they are taken.
