The aggregate system of employments may be contemplated
in for the purpose of division classification in several various points
of view: with respect to the ultimate <hi rend='superscript'>destination or use</hi> neither way
of enjoyment or security (a) the material subject-matter
of the operation in which the employment consists (b)
in which the operation in question is subservient or the operation itself, the mode of action upon or with reference to
that subject (c) The moral philosopher and
statesman consider it chiefly in the first point
of view: the mercantile man, and on his account
the statesman, in the second : the natural
philosopher, manu master manufacturer , and
workman, in the third and on their account,
in here and there an instance the statesman again
in the third.
