a new meaning as well as a new degree of interest
One grand Calamity great black cloud hangs over all our heads -

threatening to all - it's name is Bankruptcy -

does the bursting of it its bursting upon us depend? with what degree
of probability are these contingencies respectively
invested? accompanied? - Can it Is it in the power of human
wisdom agony to avert it altogether? - Is it in the
or if not, to retard the explosion? — What are the
means expedients that present themselves as best adapted for exhibiting the
prospect of attaining or contributing to that endbeing productive of being conducive to so desirable an end <add>a result?</add>
that purpose? Such are the topics which will afford
matter for the ensuing pages.
