Strictures on the P A Hatchet for Dr Paleys Net.

The following sheets , if so it be, that, in your
opinion, your laudable designs can may in any way
be >served by them, are heartily at your service
Taken up, I forget with what new abuse a couple
of years ago, Mr or Dr Paleys books — his principles
of Moral and Political Philosophy draw from one
the observations which are now before you: [+]
and which run from the pen as fast as the ink would flow from it
The
text being without method, the comment being of that
sort which is called a perpetual one, became found itself
unavoidably necessarily so too. . in the same case The importance of the subject
might well warrant as such as calls for a treatise furnished with
all the advantages which it is in the power of method
to bestow. But the nature of your work, cooperating
with the indulgence of the Editor, admitts the
door open to of twenty strictures: and every thing can not done
a one. .
The unexpected notice which it has seemed sentto you
to take of since of very useless labours, has encouraged emboldened me to suppose,
