What no one? But of this Clause the
looseness ambiguity and inanity is such
as involves in a net of perplexity the mind
that struggles to find a meaning for it.
Now in all this where is the trust put
in the benignity of the Crown? And by whom
is it that it is put. Death is the object with
the Member; and all that is possible for
man in his situation to do towards bringing
it to pass he does — of course by inserting
in his Bill, after the word felony the
words without benefit of Clergy. If for the
satisfaction of seeing the thief (after he has
been caught in D.r Paley's net) hanged by
surplusage would have been willing to give his
own ears, what more could he have done than
