efficiency might be concealed from view,
up starts a crime, the imputation of
which he makes as if he would fasten
upon the object of his protection: "which
"reflections shew" (says he) "that the
"admission of extrinsic or oblique
"considerations, in dispensing the
"power of pardon, is a crime in the
"authors and advisers of such unmerited
"partiality of the same nature
"as that of corruption in a
"judge."

Of the same nature and with only
one difference and that so slight as in
the account of the Reverend Doctor
to have been passed by as not worth notice
