of pernicious forms called in, purposely
and wantonly called in and diligently
applied in the character
of a remedy.

If the nature of the case admitted of no
other remedy the case apology would would have
some weight, and the advantage to taking
an account of profit and loss on both
sides, loss from the first disease and from
the second profit by lessening the mischief
of the first might perhaps pay for the expense.

But the first disease, the local disease
was the mischief produced by the
illchosen punishment being purely factitious —
the work not of nature but of the
barbarian physician. This being the case
the consequence is that the universal
disease — the universal cachexy introduced
by these pretended palliatives is altogether
