True it is that supposing a case brought
to view, in which on a question of legislation,
the interest of the fraternity of lawyers pointing
manifestly one way, the opinion of this
or that lawyer is seen pointing the opposite
way, the fallacious tendency of the argument
from authority may in this case be with
propriety considered as being in a considerable
degree diminished.
