J.B. to Quarterly on Penitentiary Rudiments
I have reached the age of 83 and though in the
course of years my endeavours to pro improvement
into the state of the laws has necessitated my calling pronouncing for
on mine as well as things in energetic times by which
sake, and the number of Volumes of my these works sold in countries
other than my own in law state of 00,000, it has now happened
to me to see the correctness of my statements as to matter of fact calling into
question in every so much as the smallest particular
Having so few days more to live I can not still assent of being
able within that time at the expense in the number of more pressing engagements to
give the history of the Penitentiary business: but whatever of the I leave
unfinished those who ever after me will compleat.
