If it is found that the whole of the Writing is not off
the Transfer Paper on removing one corner the Stone
may be again passed through with a greater degree of
Pressure, The back of the Paper as it lays upon the Stone
should be damped and then it may be removed.
If the Transfer has been properly made all lines
will have left the Transfer Paper and attached
themselves to the Stone. The Stone should be allowed to
stand an hour or so before setting with the Acid Solution.
Corrections on Transfer Paper
If you wash out the word you wish to remove with
a little pure bit of Turpentine on a Camel Hair
Brush and dry it up with a little blotting Paper,
you may in the course of a few minutes write on
the same place.
Repairing Writing &c. on the Stone
If the Transfer is not quite perfect the writing may
be retouched when the Stone has become dry.
