If the Paper is either too damp or too dry, it equally
refuses to clear the Printing Ink from the Stone.
The Great Object in Lithography is to clear off all the
Printing Ink from the Stone at each impression
for what remains tends with the next rolling to clog
up or thicken the writing.
If the Paper is too damp interleave with dry Paper
and apply pressure.
If not damp enough the same may be done with
damp Paper.
Printing Ink No1
The roller and Inking Stone will require to be scraped
clean before using, as the Ink after remaining exposed
to the Air hardens and would clog the roller and spoil
the impressions.
