printed from again a Coating of Gum should be laid
over the Stone. —
Cleaning out Liquid
If during the Printing the writing on the Stone thickens
or fills in between the letters which is often the case
with bad Printers and will not clear by using a stronger
Ink the following may be used with success if the
mischief is not too great
1/3 Sweet oil
1/3 Oil of Turpentine
1/3 Gum Water
well mixed, a small piece of sponge dipped in a little and
rubbed over the writing will be found to remove all the
Printing Ink. Then wash off clean and roll with
the Inking roller 'till the lines are all charged - then
gum it over & allow it to stand a little
before printg again.
