"Oxford, April 1. — In a full convocation, holden on Thursday,
"March 23, it was decreed, for the purpose of recording the
"grateful sense entertained by the University of the many
"acts of favour and munificence which his Majesty has
"been graciously pleased to confer upon it, that a Term
"should be granted, to be considered and counted as statutably
"kept for any one degree for which the Candidate may wish
"to claim it, to all those who were actual members of the
"University on the 29th of January, being the day of his
"Majesty's accession to the Throne.
