"that he should come into count with clean hands. He cautioned

"of Mr Burke, characteristic of the sound views of that States—

"must support situations." The measures of his Majesty's Ministers
"would bring into public observation both persons and
"situations, and were calculated to bring dishonour upon both.
"He had before resisted enquiry, because it was proposed to be
"conducted in an unconstitutional manner, and he shd.
support the motion of his honourable friend because
it had a tendency to arrest all further proceedings."
